Trustee Stew Swanson was born in
Chicago during WW2, where his father was working in a defense plant.
After the war the family returned to Crivitz in 1947. Stew graduated
from Crivitz high and attended Oshkosh State College (UW-Oshkosh).
Stew married the former
Sharon Esquibel in 1963 and they have four children, eight
grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren all living in the Crivitz
Stew retired from NEWCare
Convalescent Center in Crivitz after 34 years of service. He has been a
member of the Crivitz Fire Department since 1966, serving as Chief for
40 years. Stew currently serves as Fire Marshal/Fire Inspector for the
Stew and Sharon are
members of the Faith Presbyterian Church, where both have served on
various boards and committees.
Stew's goals for the
Village are to promote business and job opportunities in Crivitz so our
young people may continue to live and work here. Stew thanks you for
your continued support!
At the May 20, 2014 monthly board meeting
Stew Swanson was appointed as a Trustee on the Crivitz Village Board to
fill the vacancy created by Ben Kamps. He was then elected to the
position on April 5, 2016. His current term expires on April 21, 2020.
Stew serves as chair of the Parks & Recreation committee, as well as a
member of the Finance and Public Works committees. Stew is also the
acting Fire Marshall for the Village of Crivitz.
